A Volunteer Speaks at the Coffee Party Meeting in Jacksonville, FL on March 13, 2010

The Coffee Party Movement met in Jacksonville, Florida on March 13, 2010 at a Panera Bread store. We ordered coffee and food, and then we brainstormed on our ideas. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we have some good ideas about getting our nation back on track. One of the overriding themes of our discussion is to reintroduce the concept of civil discourse into the political arena.

The Coffee Party Movement is not about a specific political ideology or party. It's about working together for the common good of our nation. It's also about listening to other points of view and treating them with respect even if we disagree with them. We want to foster a spirit of useful compromise in ourselves and our elected representatives.

We do not speak for the national Coffee Party Movement, but we feel that our video complements its message. We come from all walks of life, represent many points of view and love our country. We stand in awe of the founding documents of our nation and we hope to fulfill them by our words and deeds.

    —Bill Graham
