Passions over health care reform
Do Over or Overdone?
By now just about everything that can be said about the health care issue has been said to the point that most people just don't want to talk about it any more. No matter what happens Republicans are still going to try and convince the country that Obama is a failed President while they look petty and self righteous and the Democrats will continue their path of self destruction. Meanwhile the T-parties will be taken over by the Republicans as the majority of Americans ignore the media and pay little attention to what their elected officials actually do (until they step down for doing it.) go about their daily lives trying to work, raise their kids and take care of ailing family members, and in the end dealing with a health care system that will take a lot longer to fix than many of the people in it have left to live. When ever I've been in a slump of any kind in my life I've been fortunate enough to have people around me to tell me to "DO Something About It!" That's how I feel about DC right now. Enough talk and constant berating of any idea that is proposed! Many Americans are fed up with the arguments and the assumptions made by politicians that they know we don't like some thing. What we don't like is a lack of anything getting done. I realize we don't all share the same views on many issues and that is a good thing but if nothing is ever accomplished because one side or the other can't do something because they are afraid to lose votes nothing will ever get done and in the end we will deserve to be a footnote in history.
