    New Delta Airlines Horror

So I go to check into my flight the day before I leave on a 5 hour flight.  I find out the the seat that I reserved, is not reserved, it is only "requested."  They have moved me to the back of the plane in a middle seat!  I said, can I get a refund? No!  Can I get another seat? No!  Why didn't you tell me this upfront? Why are you using this slippery, lawyer term "requested?"  "Everybody knows this sir,"  I was told.  Really?

My problem with this is, not that I am not willing to follow the rules, if the rules are that the airline can change your seat at will, without telling you in advance and without you being given the choice to cancel; but that they don't tell you this UP FRONT - So you can make a choice.  Delta has taken away my ability to CHOOSE because, had I known this, I would not have signed up for a 5 hour flight!

Everyone now, NEEDS TO KNOW, the airline can put you in any seat they want without telling you, till you board the plane or check in.  I will not fly Delta anymore and this is one more reason why I try to fly, as little as possible!  We should all just stop flying. Drive instead.  Take a vacation in your local area.  It's better for the environment anyway and it would make the airlines improve.
