Iran Fire Festival protests – 19
Fire Festival celebrated with chants of “Henchman Khamenei, the time for your death has arrived”
NCRI - As the night fell in various parts of Tehran, the uprising of the Iranian people against the religious dictatorship took larger proportions.
In Amir Abad in Tehran, youths carried out enthusiastic protests on the Fire Festival and burnt pictures of the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. They also chanted “death to Khamenei” and “henchman Khamenei, time for your death has arrived.”
Fireworks and firecrackers explode incessantly on streets around Sattar Khan, Enqelab Square, and Imam Hossein Square.
Youths have clashed with security forces beginning at Azadi Square continuing onwards to Aryashahr.
In Tehransar (west of Tehran), the sounds of firecrackers are heard increasingly louder even as agents stand guard in various streets and districts.
In Tehran Pars region, 96th street is filled with sounds of firecrackers and chants of “God is great.”
In Ekbatan Street and Haft-e Tir Square, despite a heavy presence of security forces, youths continue to carry out celebrations marking the Fire Festival.
