Baxter County Sheriff's Office - New Press Release

Dated 3/17/2010 CHARGES FILED AGAINST RURAL MOUNTAIN HOME MAN FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY Justin B. Kullman      A rural Mountain Home man surrendered himself today to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office on a Warrant of Arrest charging him with one felony count related to distributing, possessing, or viewing child pornography.    The arrest came after a joint investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police.         On November 5, 2009, Sheriff’s Deputies served a search warrant at 135 N. Dodd Creek Rd. in rural Mountain Home.    The warrant was obtained based upon information provided to the Sheriff’s Office by federal law enforcement authorities that related to the downloading of child pornography over the internet.    Deputies seized three computers and an external hard drive during the search.    Interviews were conducted with persons residing at the residence, but no arrest was made at that time.         One of the computers and the external hard drive were believed to contain child pornography, and they were later examined by a forensic specialist.    The examination was completed on March 4, 2010.    Pornographic images of prepubescent females were found.    Based on the results of the searches and forensic examination, Investigators were able to obtain an Arrest Warrant on March 15, 2010 for one of the occupants of the residence.
