Richard Fine: CA Judicial Council Confirmed Retaining McCormick, Holding Duties for Fair Resolution Further clarifications and corrective actions by California Judicial Council - to immediately release Attorney Richard Fine were accordingly requested Los Angeles, March 17, 2010 – in March 16, 2010 letter, 1 on behalf of the Office of Communications, Judicial Council of California - Administrative Office of the Courts to Dr Joseph Zernik, Los Angeles County resident, Philip R. Carrizosa confirmed that Attorney Kevin McCormick, who engaged in alleged false appearances and perversion of justice in Richard I. Fine v. Sheriff of Los Angeles County (2:09-cv-01914) - petition for a writ of habeas corpus – was indeed retained by the Judicial Council through its subordinate offices. However, the response letter by Mr Carrizosa included a typographical error in the case caption, correction of which was requested in March 16, 2010 response letter by Dr Zernik. 1 Mr Carrizosa’s letter quoted the California Government Code and California Rules of Court as the legal authorities for such actions by the Judicial Council of California and its subordinate offices. The law cited by Mr Carrizosa patently assigned duties, under such circumstances, to the Judicial Council - to consult with the represented parties – Judge David Yaffe and the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles - in the case on the matters being litigated. Further duties enumerated by law included advising, managing and directing the retained attorney – to promote “ fair resolution ” of disputes. Therefore, Dr Zernik forwarded to Mr Carrizosa a March 17, 2010 follow-up request for clarifications 2 by the Judicial Council and its subordinate offices. Dr Zernik listed the patent defects, alternatively – alleged fraud and perversion of justice – in conduct of Attorney Kevin McCormick in the habeas corpus petition of Attorney Richard Fine. Accordingly, Dr Zernik asked why the Judicial Council, chaired by California Chief Justice - Ronald George, and/or its subordinate offices, would not review such grave concerns, and if found valid – initiate corrective actions – to immediately release Attorney Richard Fine from false hospitalization and alleged false imprisonment. Dr Zernik concluded by thanking Mr Carrizosa and the Judicial Council for their help in a “ matter where Liberty is at stake ”. LINKS: 1 March 16, 2010 letter by Mr Philip R.
