Life in Haiti - The Aftermath

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     renaldof was sponsored by his employer, an engineering firm, to take this trip. He told me, 'the situation there is not beyond repair. In fact, some very basic and simple things can be done to deal with the issues. But the Haitian people have to be a part of that. Unfortunately the government has not adequately engaged the people so that they can work to begin helping themselves. Communication between the government and the people is poor at best and it creates a hopelessness that cripples relief and recovery efforts.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

This vedio takes us on a ride through the streets of Port Au Prince.  Life goes on but it will never be the same.  What is amazing is the resolve the Haitian people demonstrate as they try to move on from this disaster all on their own.  People are buying and selling goods and services, protecting each other and trying to develop some kind of a life in the midst of the rubble and tragedy!
