This iReport is part of an assignment:
Passions over health care reform |
What would you do?
What would you do?
Pretend you are a Democrat considering your vote on the Health Care Reform bill.
In general, the constituency you represent is a conservative group.
Now helped by a obviously partisan effort to "kill the bill" you find yourself in an odd predicament.
You, yourself believe in the bill, but you can hear protesters outside your window yelling "Vote No or You Will Go!"
So you sit back and think about it.
The people are already very upset with how congress has been handling just about everything.
The American public is looking for someone to blame. And since your own party has fallen short of being the "Hero" that the nation expected you to be, you are the obvious choice for their anger.
Taking that into consideration you feel regardless of what your vote for healthcare will be, that come November you will no longer hold your seat.
So what would you do?
Vote for what the people you represent want?
or...
Vote for what your conscience tells you to?
or...
Vote along your party lines?
