Hong Kong's Big Buddha
During my trip to Hong Kong I was overwhelmed by the cultural differences and sense of pride the residence had in there beautiful and free city. It's one of the only places in the world you can stay in a huge city, take a subway to Disneyland, a bus to the beach, a cable car to the top of a mountain and a gondola to Buddha all within 30 minutes of your hotel. As I sat on that 30 minute "glass cabin" ride to the Big Buddha I realized why Hong Kong is called one of the world's most beautiful places to photograph. This shot of the Big Buddha is just one of the amazing photographs I captured on my trip to Hong Kong, however I selected it because it was the first glimpse we had of Buddha that day and reminds me of the chills that ran through my body as we moved past the mountain and buddha came into view through the fog.
