Hawaii Nurses Association Endorses Hooser for Lt. Gov. in 2010

State Senate Majority Leader and Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Senator Gary Hooser, is the first political candidate to receive an endorsement by Hawaii Nurses Association's Board of Directors. “It’s an honor to be endorsed by a group of professionals whose mission is to be the ‘voice that makes a difference.’ I pledge to do all I can to be the ‘voice that makes a difference’ if the people of Hawaii put their trust in me to be the next Lieutenant Governor,” said Sen. Hooser.

As a former union member of Operating Engineers Local #3 and graduate of Hawaii’s public schools, Sen. Hooser is " the most experienced candidate for the position of Lt. Governor,” said HNA President Joan A. Craft.

“Gary Hooser has demonstrated his commitment to the working people of Hawaii over and over again. In these difficult times, those of us that represent Labor Unions owe it to our members to see to it that our elected state leaders represent the grassroots working people that make Hawaii the “Island of Paradise” and ensures that our island environment is protected,” said HNA Executive Director Patt A. Gibbs, Esq.

Sen. Hooser recently opened his campaign headquarters at One North King Street in downtown Honolulu. The location will host events during the First Friday art walks as well as meetings on political activism and community engagement.
