I took these photos today 3/20/10 in Moorhead, Minnesota. The photos were taken downtown near the Center Mall which is right on the Red River.

1) Photo of Dennis Walaker the mayor of Fargo being interviewed right by the Red River.

2) The Main Avenue Bridge between Fargo and Moorhead. The river water is now right up to the bottom of the bridge.

3) The multi- level parking lot for the Moorhead Center Mall is starting to have water right inside the west side of the lower level.

4) One of the new flood fighting tools is the Aqua Fence that has been positioned at the end of the lower-level parking ramp. The  designer of the Aqua Fence is in Moorhead to make sure that the fences are put up properly and to monitor how they are working. The fence in this area is holding very well.

5) The same area of the Moorhead Center Mall parking lot on the west side. The sandbag dike is leaking all kinds of water, but the Aqua Fence is holding strong.

6) Taken from 1st Avenue North in Moorhead, this picture shows the back- up of ice flows in the Red River because the river has to go around Romkey park.
