Question Re Employer vs. Universal Medical Insurance

This question is for all those out there who claim they have great health insurance by their employer. A question for the dedicated and loyal employees - How would you feel if you worked endless hours for your employer and when it came to a “business decision”- the decision was to terminate your employment due to a medical condition you or a family member experienced? Do you feel this is right? Should employers be allowed to terminate employees because they, at that time, need and are reliant on that medical insurance? Isn’t there something wrong with this?

People have these same issues with the insurance companies re preexisting conditions! Shouldn’t employers be held accountable for such loyal/dedicated employees at their worst time? Do you not see anything wrong with this situation?

Having worked in corporate America I have seen this too many times. Becoming a dedicated and loyal employee doesn’t guarantee anything at all. Corporate American, for that matter any employer would throw you in the trash at your worst. I, for one would rather rely and have government run insurance. Insurance I can depend on when I need it the most. I am aware this is not a “perfect bill,” however; at least it is a health care bill, which will allow Americans medical insurance.

At least termination will not become an issue due to a medical condition. Honestly, what is an individual to do when they have no job and no medical insurance? Where does that person/family go? A person can only experience this problem when they themselves have experienced the same situation and not by mere mindless comments.
