Walk In Our Shoes March 20 2010
First day of spring Market Square Knoxville Tennessee.
This is the location of the city's original farmer's market established in 1854. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Architecture represents 19th and 20th century commercial
architecture.
Today Market Square and Krutch Park are a vibrant part of our city with restaraunt's, out door cafes, shops and boutiques. Many of the city's festivals are held here as well as Sundown in the City and the Farmer's Market, in season. An ice skating rink is available Nov to Jan along with quaint Christmas decorations.
It seems no matter the weather, there are always folks enjoying the sights, sounds and wonderful food cooking on the Market Square
