US Mexico Border States Crime Rates

Although Homicide is higher in some Mexican States, Assault, Rape and Property Crimes are higher on the US side.

Homicide in Mexico has increased dramatically due to the drug cartels trafficking into the US and purchasing guns from US shops.

Car Theft in Mexico is also partly related to the drug cartel activity.

Mexico is fighting a lost war against an extremely rich foreing drug-market; powerful enough to corrupt authorities on both sides, deflect attention from the real solutions and leave the dead, the wounded and the terrorized on the other side of the border.
