This iReport is part of an assignment:
Weekend assignment: Let's walk around the world |
42nd Street New York City
The very famous boulevard of 42nd Street is truly the crossroads of the world and this is where I ended my walk on the night of March 20, 2010. Watch out for Mary Poppins!
There was no set limit on the number of 'one minute' walks we could upload and I can't resist sharing this one too.. It was shot on 42nd Street in New York City between 7th and 8th Avenues. It shows the famous and legendary Victory Theater across the street, and takes us past 'Mary Poppins' who sings a little bit of a song just for us as we walk by. The vendors were out with their wares and there were masses of people on the street.
There is a myth that New York City is a dangerous or scary place. As this video shows, it is far from that and I hope you'll consider visiting if you get a chance.
