Healthcare reform and the U.S. Constitution
We may be making history today. I hope so. I have heard many objections to this bill - both from the left and from the right. For those on the left, it doesn't go far enough. For those on the right, it goes too far.
I believe that this bill is in line with what our founding fathers talked about when they wrote the preamble to the constitution. It isn't enough to talk only about freedom. The constitution states that the government should also provide justice. I think that is what this bill does. Or at least it is a step in the right direction.
These are my thoughts as I await the vote on this bill today.
