Jeremiah and His Granny Thanks Obama POUS
President Obama is "awesome" and I believe that he is living a purpose driven life. He was born to become the President of the United States of America during this historic time. Today, March 21, 2010, because his outstanding leadership this nation and its people are less than twenty-four hours from having affordable health care available to millions of additional Americans.
Thank you President Obama!
My grandson is one of the many Americans who could be rejected by insurance companies because of a pre-existing condition. An ultrasound before his birth revealed that Jeremiah would have Tetralogy of Fallot, which is a heart defect where there are 4 different things wrong with the heart. Jeremiah has had three open heart surgeries because his body or heart outgrows the corrective procedures. I have been present for all three operations and many if not all of the 47 -48 times that he was hospitalized during his first two years of life.
He will be seven years old soon and according to his doctors he will need another open heart surgery at age 11-13. He has been very fortunate because all of his medical expenses including the one million dollars cost of his first open heart surgery were covered by good health insurance.
My entire family including Jeremiah's mother Erica is passionate about politics now. For the first time in her life Erica has been very active in the political process. She is involved because of President Obama and deceased Senator Teddy Kennedys desire to provide affordable Heath Care to every American. Although she still has great insurance coverage Erica believes that every child and every American are entitled to the same opportunity to good health as her child and my grandson Jeremiah.
