Take a Walk in Al's Shoes at Work
While other IReporers specialized on "Cool Places" like the Beaches, Mountains, Times Square, and Rome, I decided to be "Different" and do my peice at my company - I work so many hours anyway, this was a natural for me.
Manheim Riverside is a dealer only auction facility - so for the general public, this means we are wholesale business to business only - no retail customers are allowed.
I have been a manager with Manheim for 21 years. I have loved automobiles since 11 years old, so it was a perfect career for me. It's a great company to work for, here are some details...
Manheim Auctions is the largest and highest volume wholesale automobile auction company in the world. As a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises Inc., Manheim provides services including financing, title work, transportation, recovery, auto body repair, dealership management systems, dent repair and remarketing technology. They are known for using online tools to connect buyers and sellers around the globe.
Cox entered the auto auction business in 1945 by purchasing its namesake company, the Manheim Auto Auction, in Manheim, PA. Manheim is now the highest volume operator of wholesale auto auctions in the world with 135 locations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Manheim Auto Auction itself (PA) is known as the largest auto auction in the world, with 33 lanes for the sale of cars. The auction also boasts the largest automotive reconditioning center in the United States. Cox Enterprises owns Cox Auto Trader, one of the world’s leading providers of online and print automotive consumer information.
Manheim owns and operates Dent Wizard, a nationwide mobile auto reconditioning service.
