    Iran won three gold and one bronze medals

     
    Tehran, March 21, IRNA – Iran won three  gold and one bronze medals of the Free Style category and two silver and  one bronze medals of the Greco-Roman category of the International Free  Style Wrestling Tournament "Petko Sirakov-Ivan Iliev" Juniors on the  first day of the contests in Sofia on Saturday, March 21.

    Iran’s Abdullah Fuladvand (50 kg FS) overpowered his  Russian, Romanian and Kazakh rivals to gain the gold medal, while Mehran  Nasiri (60 kg FS) defeated his Bulgarian, Russian and Romanian as well  as Kazakh rivals to receive the gold medal.

     

    Moreover, Morteza Rezaie Qale (74 kg FS) beat his Turkish and  Bulgarian rivals to stand champion and gain the gold medal.

     

    While in the 96 kg FS category, Mohsen Kazemi defeated his Kazakh  rival to gain the bronze medal.

     

    Based on the incoming reports, the Iranian silver medal winners in  the Greco-Roman style contests were Amir Kaab Amir (50 kg GR) and Kamal  Mohammad Alizadeh (74 kg GR), whereas the bronze medal winner for Iran  was Mojtaba Mamizadeh (96 kg GR).

     

    The composition of Iranian wrestling team, that is scheduled to  compete with their opponents in the Sunday competitions, is as follows:  Two Greco-Roman style wrestlers in the 55kg, 66kg and 86 kg categories  and one Greco-Roman style wrestler in the 120kg category; One free-style  wrestler in the 55kg category, two free-Style wrestlers in the 66kg and  84kg categories and one free-style wrestler in the 120kg category.
