    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     seeitnow and his daughter decided to investigate the habits of a snail that specifically lives in Banff, Alberta, and has been thought to be at risk from human use of hot springs. seeitnow says the issue of hot springs pools has been a source of major controversy in Banff.

    The Banff Springs Snail is staging a comeback. This tiny creature survives in a toxic brew of Hydrogen Sulphide gas and boiling water but it barely made it through years of human contact when the pools were open to the public.
