Weekend assignment: Operation pay phone |
Dangerous Call
Imagine needing to make a call...and the only available pay phone is down a long seedy wet neon lit blvd. Here the lights reflect and glisten on the aged wet asphalt . You suddenly find yourself waiting on a very cold windy quiet rainy dark night next to the downtown bus top. I can see reflections of red lights in large puddles near by. A shady individual is already on the phone in the midst of a climatic personal conversation. Every several minutes he glares over his shoulder as if annoyed there is another pay phone customer. This is clearly an area that feels like your safety and security are in jeopardy every other second. You quickly bury your head in the phone and make your call. Luckily there is a dial tone. You think to yourself...this could be a place where people disappear from.
