    Can You believe it? A Pay Phone That is Still in Use!

    Yes, Dorothy, we are not in Kansas any more - we were reporting from Moreno Valley CA, about 80 miles east of Los Angeles.

     

    We found "Emma" who was alive and well at the mall, and yes, she was using a payphone! We were surprised to see a pay phone actually in use, so we asked her for a short interview - and she agreed.

     

    Emma had a very good reason to use this payphone: She was at the mall and she had finished shopping - when she tried to call home for her family to come and pick her up, her cell phone battery was dead.

     

    Pay phone to the rescue!

     

    And yes, it did work - see the end of the video.
