This iReport is part of an assignment:
    What is patriotism?

    Keeping the Home Fires burning

As the mother of five sons who are currently serving in the US Air Force, the definition of patriotism to me is the daily commitment to keeping the home fires burning while my sons serve this great county.  For me, its o.k. to tear up at the Star Spangled banner, hold dear the American Flag and all it stands for and to recognize the sacrific my boys are making for this great county.   It is my job here at home to remain in prayer that our LORD will continue to bless them and keep them protected from harm.  All five will be oversees and away from their families over the next few months.  My daughter-in-laws and I will keep the home fires burning, the children cared for and the lamp lit for each of their return.
