    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     wendykw took these photos of Westerly, Rhode Island, on Tuesday evening. A heavy rainstorm forced evacuations and shut down roads in the region and prompted President Obama to declare a state of emergency.

    Westerly, RI is underwater equally as devastating as the regions surrounding Providence. However we are often overlooked when it comes to news because we are so far away from the states only news center, which happens to be Providence.

    These pictures were taken Tuesday around 5pm and deserve to be posted as well.
