Quincy, IL - The Cobb Family - S. Indian Graves - Part 3
The Mississippi River at Quincy has gone down over 10 feet to 20.09 feet as of 9:00 p.m. 7/4/08.
Happy 4th of July to everyone!
The clean up process has begun over this past week for many residents in the area. These photos were taken of the Buddy and Debbie Cobb home located in South Indian Graves on North Bottoms Road in Quincy, IL.
Bonansinga Drive all the way north to 2150th Ave. near Ursa, IL is open. The flood was devastating to farmland and crops. Debris and cornstalks are everywhere.
The Cobb Family is staying with family while they attempt to arrange for alternative housing.
The history of the Cobb Family home is very interesting dating back to approximately 1850. They are enthusiastic about restoring the home as it has much potential.
