    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Aladone is passionate about chronicling Toronto's history and for the past five years, he's been creating a database of historical census information over the last 100 years. "These then and now photographs are a result of my interest in history especially in our City of Toronto. There is so much hidden history here and in a very multicultural city we are on the verge of loosing out history if we don't keep it out there for to see," he said. He merges the old and new images digitally. The old photographs are from the City of Toronto Archives.
