This iReport is part of an assignment:
What is patriotism? |
It is a state of Mind!
Patriotism cannot be defined by a single definition but by collective interpretations:
Patriotism is a state of mind constraint by the boundaries defined by one's government.
Patriotism is a religion that gives meaning to your life and ensure that you give the coming generation a better fututre.
Patriotism is a brotherhood that makes you care for each other.
Patriotism is an intoxicating feeling that has potential to cloud your judgement.
Patriotism has potential to be misinterpretated as a Nazi Germany, wanting world dominance and war and expecting you to sacrifice yourself in a distant land.
Patriotism is a responsibility that you have as a resident of this country and a duty to continue to make it better.
Patriotism is an obligation to think independently and objectively for the collective good , with the future in mind.
Patriotism is the freedom you enjoy and the price you have to pay to maintain that freedom.
