Elephant Bath in Katugastota Kandy Sri Lanka past andpresent

This was known as the elephant bath in Katugastota sometime back, when all the elephants were brought here to be given a bath, it used to be full with elephants at one time, and also full of tourists, now they dont bring them here, only during the perahara season, you can now see in the photo which I took this morning it has a new bridge along the Mahaweli river, it was not there when the picture in the book was taken.  This place is situated about 6 kilometres from where I live.

Had to get my 3 wheeler guy to hold up the book for me
