This iReport is part of an assignment:
Review the iPad |
Easy, fast, powerful, useful...shall I go on?
- hhanks, CNN iReport producer
First, my one and only criticsm, it's a bit heavy. The back side is chunk of aluminium and this pad is packed with dense circuitry. The tendons in your forearm will be sore if you hold it one handed too long.
OTHER THAN THAT...
It is a remarkable device. Try "Star Walk - iPad Version" which is $4 and you'll feel like you're in the future. The productivity software which has been missing on the iPhone is finally practical, due to the bigger screen, and a "big iPod Touch" it may be, but the screen makes all the difference. Audio, Video, interactive apps, this is the pinnacle of information consumption technology.
As a teacher, I'm looking at this thing as an educational device, and I feel that kids can really use this thing to make learning fun. While I don't feel "edutainment" is a silver bullet to poor educational opportunities, I sure like it for enrichment.
