Weekend assignment: How far can $10 go? |
$9.56 2 bottles - good wine for the thrifty
Crane Lake 2009 Cabernet Savignon and 2008 Savignon Blanc. Both together with tax at Kroger with the Kroger Plus Card are $9.56 and this has been the price for quite some time. Each bottle is less than $5. Crane Lake was reco'd by a Kroger employee to me. She had tried it and found it not bad at all. For the price it can't be beat.
Who can afford $10 for a bottle of wine anymore? Robert Mondavi has a great cab for the price, but it would take the whole $10 for one bottle!:) In these tight economic times, I just can't justify paying $10 for a bottle of wine much less the $15-$30 I used to pay:) 2 for $10 will do very well!
