    Baby Deer Comes Out Of Woods And Hops On Our Golf Cart In Lakewood Ranch, FL

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     cpierce4golf and his 11-year-old son, Tommy, were golfing at the Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club in Bradenton, Florida, yesterday evening when a baby deer jumped aboard their golf cart. "It walked right up to us, turned around and stood there while I took one picture and then it jumped on the golf cart with my son. It did not want to get off. We tried to stay away from it, but it kept coming closer and closer. It had to be just a few days old," he said.

    It's Thursday, April 15th, at about 7:30 p.m. and the sun is setting here in Lakewood Ranch, FL near Sarasota.   My son Tommy Pierce and I are playing the 5th hole on the Cypress Links Course in the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club and all of a sudden a baby deer walks out of the woods, up to our golf cart and gets on.  We did not touch it and we really tried to keep our distance, but it kept coming up to us.  It was amazing, especially when it jumped on the golf cart and stayed there for a few minutes.  My son Tommy said he thought it might be the reincarnation of my Dad Donald Pierce who was a great golfer.  You really had to be there.  The sun was setting, the sky was clear and about 75 degrees.  A perfect Southwest Florida night and then it was like a miracle came out of the woods.
