    My Mom Angelina

I have learned a lesson about cooking from my dear mom Angelina (Angie.)  I can remember when I was a little boy around three or so and liked to play with my moms kitchen pans.  For some reason they fascinated me.  Maybe it was because I watched my mom cook delicious meals in them.  I liked they way they shined and the way they sounded when I banged them together.  They made me happy and made me laugh.  My mom would tell people that I would make a good cook someday.  I loved being in the kitchen with mom watching and helping her cook.  She taught me a lot when I was very young.  Almost every Sunday my mom would cook some kind of pasta and always made meatballs.  Before she put the meatballs in the sauce she would put some aside for me.  I liked to have my fried meatballs for breakfast with some nice fresh Italian bread.  It smelled so nice in the kitchen with my mom's homemade sauce simmering on the stove.  I always admired my mom because of the way she could cook.  Everybody loved Angie's cooking.  I especially, loved her cooking and felt good when I heard people rave about how delicious her food was.  That's what gave me the inspiration to be the pizza chef that I am today.  I figured if my mom could make people happy with her cooking I could do that also.  I really had to pay attention to her when she cooked.  She didn't use many measuring devices.  It was a little of this and a pinch of that.  It would make me laugh when my wife would ask my mom for a recipe.  My mom would tell her I don't go by a recipe but if you want I will show you how to make it.

I have enjoyed cooking all my life and cooking is my life.  My mom left me an inheritance and I bought a restaurant with it. I named it Angelina's Restaurant.  I now cook pizzas in the kitchen of Angelina's Restaurant and that always reminds me of my mom Angelina.
