Vrakelberg (hill), Netherlands
Gold Race Road Side Interview
For the annual Amstel Gold Race professional cycling classic, I conduct a road side interview before the peloton passes by on the Vrakelberg, the 19th climb of the day (of a total of 31).
Because it bugs me, a brand of beer lends its name to this legendary classic in the south of the Netherlands, people from outside run the show, and the only substantial hills of the Low Countries (these cyclists slave on), don't even have a name -- while all the other insignificant regions do.
I hope in the future it will be called "Ronde van Limburg" (Tour of Limburg, the province -- just like the classics in Flanders, or Lombardia).
