This iReport is part of an assignment:
Car sales: What's driving you? |
Behind the curve...as usual.
Where've YOU been? If anyone pays attention at all, they saw this coming during Hurricane Katrina, or even earlier.
I built my EV almost 2 years ago. It's been my daily driver ever since. I put gasoline in my gas powered cars maybe once every 3 or 4 months. I try to take a train for longer distance travel.
I'd like to give a special shout-out to my boys at GM, Ford, Chrysler and Toyota:
I refuse to ever purchase a new vehicle again until you sell a 100% battery-electric vehicle that seats 4, has a 100 mile range, and costs $35k or less. No hybrid, and no hydrogen "fool-cells". Just batteries. Here's a tip: The vehicle already exists in the Toyota RAV4EV from the '90's.
It should be plain enough what the "consumer" wants now.
