iReport —

Looking to find a way I could get a self-propelled lawn mower for something like an old Macbook I found online Barter websites like Trade Away.  They also host a news story on the site that talks about other online Trade / Barter portals.

Could it be possible that I could trade my old Macbook for a Lawn Mower, piece of fly fishing land in some secluded part of Montana or even as partial credit on a 2 million dollar RV?   The answer seems to be YES!

I plan to trade my old Macbook for a lawn mower since my wife is tired of the growing jungle that is called our front yard.

The nice thing I have found on TradeAway website (as well as a few others) is it allows for multiple offers and offers with partial credit or what they call "Trade Credit". This allows one to trade items of unequal value, since many items would not be worth a similar amount, as well as receive multiple offers.

Everyone is hurting for money in these economic times, and what better way to keep your money in your pocket and clean out the garage or office for other items you need.

So next time you need a new car, TV, truck or that private land parcel for some fly fishing just Google the words "Barter" and/or take a look at http://www.TradeAway.com.
