Up to speed with Robin Meade |
Why Do I Love NASCAR?!?!?! Just watch my videos.
Being at the track,,being with friends,,feeling the rush of the wind that the cars bring, smelling the fuel and tires, getting hit by little pieces of rubber tire marbles,,just the whole effect and feeling of being there,,makes me proud to be an American Racing Fan. For anyone that has never experienced the sights and sounds at a race, it is truly something everyone should be able to enjoy at least once,,and by entering my last chance here, I hope we get the chance to go to Atlanta.
In the 3rd video of this set, some dudes come walking up that I talk to,,here's the story on them>> a couple nights before this race, I had gone shark fishing with my buddy Mitch on a charter boat out of Port Canaveral. Also on the boat was a group of people from Wisconsin that I started talking to,,they mentioned that this race was to be their first NASCAR experience. I had an extra parking pass from a corporate sponsor that was not spoken for, so I offered it to them, and the next day I took it out to them at the place they were staying on Cocoa Beach, about 5 minutes from my house. The pass got you into an area where you get BBQ lunch, live music entertainment and all the fixings that go along with it,,a real nice hookup. I am sure I made a part of their first race a good memory to take back home.
I do apologize about not being the best commentator/videographer, but this was filmed live, in action at the World Center of Racing, Daytona International Speedway, July 5 2008.
