.....Let me count the reasons.  The excitement is like no other sport.  While the wrecks are bad for the team when it happens to them,  as a fan,  it has got to be the best thing about a race!   The cars are so safe these days,  you don't have to worry about anybody getting seriously hurt.  It is not like other sports where you usually have two teams, you can have multiple favorties.  If your driver wrecks, blows an engine, or is just not doing well, you can pull for one of your other favorite drivers.  I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and was taken to "Birmingham  International Raceway" every friday night as a child.  I saw some of the "greats" race before they became household names. Going to a race is the best!  The sounds, smells, leaving the track with little pieces of rubber on your face....AHHH!
