    BC Place Stadium Deflation Time-Lapse

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     snipertbh says the dome's renovation "has drawn a lot of criticism from locals because it costs a lot of money and Vancouver is a predominantly rainy city, even in the summer Vancouver gets a lot of rain so it doesn’t make sense to many people that they are doing this."
    - ericfrazier, CNN Editorial Assistant

Deflation of BC Place Stadium, formerly the world's largest air-supported dome stadium and host of 2010 Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, condensed from 40 minutes into 53 seconds. The roof will be replaced by a retractable top. The building you see in the background as the deflation completes is GM Place, home of the Vancouver Canucks. Royalty-free music from incompetech.com.
