    More from HBGH

This is what America has become

You think you have rights because

you are married? Well you don’t, you \

    are virtually divorced by guardianship.

    This is my story.

When ever you enter a hospital or

nursing home you lose all your civil

    rights at the door.

They just randomly threw a bunch of

people together for an ethic committee

panel to end my husbands life

    consisting of seven people -Diane

Giantisco who is the Director corporate

compliance risk care manager - Linda

Daino Department of Social Services -

Dr. Corbalon my husbands doctor who

is a stranger to Gary. - Case

    manager, social worker, unit manager,

and a Chaplin I was not allowed to

    attend.

My husband had no one to advocate

for him. Where was my husband’s

attorney in all of this?   After they

decided to starve and dehydrate my

    husband, his appointed

guardian submitted an order to show

cause to the judge to end my husbands

life. The judge took one look at what

was submitted. She scolded the county

and said “this was a serious matter,

this is someone’s life” and gave them

10 days to come up with medical

proof . The county with drew the

motion but left the illegal DNR on him.

These same people are still in control

and I fear my husband’s life

    everyday….   The abuse, isolation and

inadequate care Gary gets has been

    overwhelming with on going surgeries

where I do not get any explanations.

Why is my husbands guardian not

concerned and why is it they are

isolating him? Who are they really

trying to protect? Why is he denied

second opinions? What is the big

secret? The thing is Gary does not

have to live this way. He is treated

    worse than a criminal.
