    Philippine Election Images

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jmaentz told me, 'It was very hot and people were waiting in long lines in the sun. Many were using umbrellas to block the sun. Sample ballots littered the streets around the school and the school grounds. People seemed to be in good spirits despite the long wait to vote, however, some people left and decided not to vote.'

More images from the Philippines May 10th elections.  Long lines have  formed because of  glitches in the new automated machines and many  voters have decided to leave and not wait in line. As you can see from  some of the pictures many of the  lines are not organized and are more  like a crowd of people waiting to get in the door.
