This iReport is part of an assignment:
Dealing with postpartum depression |
Finding my way out of PPD
My name is Tonya Vernooy, I suffered from postpartum depression for about a year. I tried to follow most of the recommendations given by PPD experts. Some helped, others did not. The biggest gap in helping women through PPD is support groups: there aren't enough of them and they don't allow women whose babies are no longer newborns. In my humble opinion, this is KEY. And this is my story.
