Dog Goes on Cruise to Benefit Rescued/Orphaned Dogs and Cats
Reise, a Jack Russell terrier, anxiously awaits his first cruise on the Adventure Hornblower, a vessel that has spectacular panoramic views from both decks. For a donation of $10 and a towel or blanket for the Helen Woodward Animal Center, people were permitted to take their dog on the Hornblower for a one-hour cruise on the bay in beautiful San Diego on May 15th. The Helen Woodward Animal Center, located in Ranch Santa Fe, CA, has been in operation for more than 30 years. It is a unique, private, non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to saving the lives of animals as well as education and therapeutic programs for people. Reise enjoyed his first cruise and is pictured with myself and John Van Zante, a spokesman for the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
