Tiger Dams Protecting Beach from Oil Spill
The Louisiana Army National Guard is deploying U.S. Flood Control's Tiger Dams along the east shore of the southwest pass to the Mississippi, attempting to protect precious wildlife from the harmful effects of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.
I (Chris Bennett of GovLive.com) took this picture from a Blackhawk helicopter as we were leaving the beach on 5/14/10.
