    CHARLESTON,SC WEATHER NEXT 2 DAYS,WATCHING TROPICS

    Today's Forecast

    • 82°
    • 65°

A very  moist flow continues here in the Lowcountry with on and off showers into  tonight and Tuesday.  Look for the rain chance at around 80% this  evening, 40% overnight and Tuesday.  Lows overnight will be in the mid  60's with patch fog developing.  Tuesday we'll see hazy sun and clouds,  sticky low 80's with a few on and off showers or thunderstorms.   Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers or  thunderstorms and highs in the mid 80's.  Look for drier weather from  Thursday into the weekend and warmer with highs in the upper 80's.

TROPICS: We still see the possibility that an area  of low pressure near the Bahamas could organize could take on some  tropical characteristics as it moves toward the southeast U.S. coast  today and tomorrow. Most of the forecast models do show development but  it is too soon to determine what impacts we may see here. The National  Hurricane Center is now issuing watches and warnings out to 48 hours so  we will see if those are posted today or tomorrow. Of course we would  expect rain and some wind but exact timing and track is not possible to  gauge at this point so we will keep watching the forecast. If it does  develop, coastal beach erosion, tidal flooding and gusty winds will be  the main impacts. Stay tuned...
