    The past 5 years in Iraq

    What have the past 5 years in Iraq meant to my family...

     

    The past 5 years in Iraq sent my nephew into battle... he served his tour... was due to get out... got stop lossed... after which he got blown up in his Bradley fighting vehicle injuring his leg and arm... got warehoused in a military "medical" facility in a trailer where they had to walk to mess hall to eat... got told he was responsible for replacing the equipment destroyed due to the blast and subsequent rescue proceedures... and that he earned a Purple Heart, BUT he had to order and pay for it!!!

     

     

    Memories abound of the past 5 years in Iraq... sorry none of them too joyfull for us.
