All-time favorite games |
Slaying the competition
Immersion is a key factor for me in determining my fave games, and current gen console titles have the production values to accompany the gameplay. Faves include Assassin's Creed (pictured), BioShock, Mass Effect, Rainbow Six: Vegas and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That said, I've been button mashing long enough to have nostalgia for more old school titles. My fave arcade title was Tempest. Favorite Atari 2600 games include Combat, Air/Sea Battle, Pitfall and Asteroids. I also liked Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on GameBoy. Top Playstation titles included Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill and Ace Combat 3. Last-gen faves are many, including Cold Winter, Freedom Fighters, The Getaway, Max Payne, Killzone, kill.switch, Rygar, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Prince of Persia, Burnout: Revenge, Hitman 2, Psi-Ops, Project: Snowblind and Sniper Elite.
