Participants in DC's #somob4good flash mob showed their support for local service agencies Miriam's Kitchen, N Street Village, Greater DC Cares, Food and Friends, Becky's Fund and Luke's Wings.
Miriam's Kitchen (www.miriamskitchen.org) helps the homeless of DC by serving up homemade, healthy meals free of charge. N Street Village (www.nstreetvillage.org/) focuses their service on helping to empower homeless and low-income women. Greater DC Cares (www.greaterdccares.org) mobilizes volunteers where needed to provide high-impact support to social service agencies within the DC community. Food & Friends (www.foodandfriends.org) provides care to individuals with life-challenging illnesses by delivering specialized meals as well as providing nutrition counseling. Becky's Fund (www.beckysfund.org) helps fight the good fight of ending domestic violence. Luke's Wings (www.lukeswings.org) provides travel planning services and plane tickets for the families of wounded soldiers who are currently hospitalized or in rehabilitation centers.
