This iReport is part of an assignment:
Severe weather |
flooding in Lander, WY
These are some pictures I took last Saturday, 6-5-10, of the flooding currently happening in Lander, WY. We had over 130" of snow this winter and with the 80+ temps, it all started coming down at once. The river is the Middle fork of the Popo Agie and has risen another 1' or so since these pics were taken. There has been a lot of sand-bagging going on and a lot of homes getting flooded out as well as bridges taken out. Two towns down stream, Hudson and Riverton are also experiancing flooding.
