    Metropolis Illinois preparing for Superman Celebration

    The city of Metropolis Illinois is preparing to kick off it's 32nd annual Superman Celebration.  The giant Superman statue has been recently painted, the banners are in place, the foundation has been prepared for an all new Lois Lane statue to be unvieled on Friday, and the vendors are setting up tents to provide refreshments and merchandise.  The Superman Celebration will begin with an opening ceremony on Thursday June 10 at 5:00, and conclude at 4:00 Sunday.
