Do you remember the Atlanta Child Murders?

    What I remember

I was about 6 years old when the murders took place I was living in Chicago. I remember watching the end of the trial with my grandmother. tI wasnt until I moved to Atlanta did I really become interested in trying to find out what really happened. I purchased a book called The List by Chett Dettlinger. The book tells of many things the media and the law officals did not. For one there was a power struggle going on In Atlanta at that time and a lot of people were upset at the shift from all white establishment to an all black. It was how the Fulton County Police Department came into existance. I feel some were so made at this change that when the murders started happenig they wanted to show or prove a point that this city could not be ran by black officals. Lee Brown who was the Director of Public Safety at the time refused to admit that there ws a pattern to the murders when there was. One person on the list Pat Rogers new at least 10 to 14 of the other persons on the list threw some way. There was a child sex for hire ring going on at the time and several fo the boys were known to hangout at a known homosexuals house on Gray St. 2 of the boys of the murdered boys lived right across the street from each other. One of the murder victims the police came to his house with an arrest warrant 3 months after he had passed. Family members of the vicitims have stated the police never bothered to come back and ask further questions let alone ask them if their child could have known any of the other victims. I believe Wayne Williams may have been involved in a homosexua/ pedophile underworld at the time which was rumored to involve a lot of high ranking people. I do not believe he killed any of the children. Lets all remember he has been convicted of killing 2 adult ex convicts I do believe he knows more than what he is saying,. I also read Jack Mallards book which looks at it from the prosecutions point of view but he also did not mention the homosexual angle and briefly touched on the KKK angle. Read both books and you wll look at the case from a different prospective. There was also a movie made about this case starring James Bulushi and Gregory Hines its called Evidence of Things not Seen it looksat the KKK angle.

I also do not think the investigation went deep enough into this case. This case could not have been summed up in 1, 2 or even 3 hours.

Also if anyone can tell me where I can get a copy of the tv miniseries that aired about this case in 1985 I would really appreicate it.
